System Information
Windows 10, intel iris 540

Blender Version
Broken: 2.80 Alpha 2 - 11/7/2018 build

Appended Object from a previous release. Appended fine. Saved.
Duplicated rig. Crashed.
Reloaded 2.8 blender, loaded save - crashed instantly.

Crashing blend attached.

To duplicate, load blend.

Can confirm the crash on file load.
Looks like this was saved with multiple objects in editmode.
One of them doesnt have an edit_bmesh though (not sure if this is because it is actually hidden?)

P821 makes the file load (you can also check which object is failing), but I would kindly ask @ideasman42 to take over here...
