Short description of error
After starting for the first time and testing version 2.8, I closed the program normally. Try to open again but not open.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on a (as simple as possible) attached .blend file with minimum amount of steps

from the screenshot it seems to crash when trying to translate "ViewLayer" (
DATA_("ViewLayer")).@mont29: Does that ring a bell?
I remember when opening for the first time, I indicated if I wanted to take the data from version 2.79, I gave it to yes and also change the interface to Spanish.
I dont have a custom startup blendfile
Could you try removing the
2.8config folder (or just rename it)https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/latest/getting_started/installing/configuration/directories.html
This will take you back to the "first-time-startup", then try again without loading 2.79 setting from the splash?
(just to narrow this down a bit...)
I have deleted the configuration folder. Blender has worked again. Do not load the 2.79 configuration, but if you change the interface language and the same error has occurred again.
