mirror modifier + bevel modifier error #58411

Worked: 2.79

a mesh with "bevel modifier" using bevel weighted option with a "mirror modifier" won't work properly.

Please, {F5776575}open the file and turn on/off the mirror modifier to see the problem.

Can reproduce. Looks like the Mirror modifier does not handle the Bevel weight correctly.

I looked into this ( I hope it's OK to post).
The issue seems to be that the edge data is lost and is not preserved throughout the modifier stack. If you make a Cube, then add edge bevel weight to it, then add a Mirror or Array modifier, then apply the modifier, the edge weight will be lost.

If the Bevel modifier is above everything else it works because at that point, it doesn't matter if the edge data is lost, as the modifier's effect has already been applied.
