Short description of error
Alt+left click edge loop selection do not work (with left click selection is enabled)

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
(with left click selection is enabled)

Open blender
Enter in edit mode
Alt+left click to select an edge loop

(it works when the right click selection is enabled in blender preferences)

Do you mean alt+LMB? It seems to work for me for left and right click.

Do you have "Emulate 3 Button Mouse" enabled? In that case Alt+LMB is already taken, and double click for edge loop select must be used instead.

And still does not work? Does your alt key work for other shortcuts (like alt+A to deselect everything)?
Does your keymap actually have this shortcut? You can check that by searching for "Loop Select" in the Input Preferences.

Can you make a short .gif that shows what you are doing exactly?...

Yes, I have the "Emulate 3 Button Mouse" enabled, so I thought it will work like in 2.79, where I selected the edge loops with Alt+rmb.
