Short description of error
"Shade Editor" (Shift F3) manipulate nodes in Layout mode (crash).

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Start Blender.
Load object "tree.blend" (provided in attach with the generated DUMP files) TreeFile and Dumps.rar
Stay in "Layout" mode.
Split Vertically the main screen.
On the 2nd screen select "Shade Editor" (Shift F3).

I can not reproduce this issue.

In the off chance that this is a GPU issue, could you try and download the latest nvidia drivers and see if that helps?

Hi Sebastian,

Many thanks for testing.
I updated the nvidia drivers to the last version, unfortunately to no avail.

I include a desktop video recording so you can see what is happening in my side.
Again I add also the new error dump file.

NOTE: I have been testing 2.80 since last Monday.
The previous version, did not present such behavior (crash).
Since I replaced the versions and deleted the last one, I'm not sure what is was (Hash).
Sorry.

Many thanks.

Could you attach the output if you run blender with "--debug-gpu"?
You can also try if "--debug-gpu-force-workarounds" solves it.

I added the --debug-gpu to Blender Shortcut, so it becomes this: " D:\Blender_280\blender.exe --debug-gpu ".
I started blender, tested it and the crash repeated.
Here it goes the dump file. blender.exe.4148.dmp.zip
If this "dump" file is not the "output" you need, please let me know where should I check for any other logs that can help.

You need to start blender via the windows cmd program.
Navigate to the blender directory (with cmd) and then run blender.exe --debug-gpu > output.txt
If it does not save the output to output.txt, then just run blender.exe --debug-gpu and copy paste the output to a file.

@fclem, have any idea what might be going wrong?

That is really strange. Try updating your graphic drivers first.

Does that happen if you are in cycles viewport render mode?

Hi Clément, Sebastian and Philipp,

I did update the nVidia drivers previously (by Sebastian suggestion) but it didn't solve the behavior.
Fortunately, with this recent fresh blender-2.80-84c06e996a7a-win64 beta version, it seems this problem is solved.

I can't replicate it anymore.
It seems this task may be closed.

Many thanks for your efforts.
