Short description of error

Smooth shading is not working in Sculpt Mode

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Open Blender
  2. Apply smooth shading
    3.Change to sculpt Mode.

I can't reproduce the problem with a GTX 1080 on Linux.

  • Does it happen when starting from factory settings? Or are there perhaps any other settings in your default start file influencing this?
  • What does not working mean, it shows flat shaded, or some other kind of error?

Yeah it's happening with factory settings too. It's correct, meaning when I change to sculpt mode it's back to flat shaded object. I record a video showing the behavior, you can watch here.

Ah, seems to be related to the multires modifier, we already had a report about that.
