System Information
Operating system: mac os x 10.14.2
Graphics card:

Blender Version
Broken:

(example: 2.80, downloaded 11.01.19

Short description of error

  1. Key frames don't show in the Dope sheet but only in the Graph Editor

  2. Key frames changes appear where no key frames where created, without a way to modify the changes.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
The short video linked herein, would provide you with the best visualisation, I hope.

  1. In short, the dope sheet didn't display my keyframes for the bones, only for the strokes, layers.

name

I could access them only through the Graph Editor.

  1. After Rendering, I noted that the object shift gradually towards the right. I then deleted the Keyframes in the position... but this didn't change the outcome.

You can note that even thought the position remains grey, its values changes by the time. I also tried to go to the last frame and entered the same value, this didn't change the outcome.

  1. A different issue was the shadow. In the animation the layer are divided to Body and Arm, only the later is animated.

When I added to shadow, highlight strokes for the body and ticked the clamp option all worked fine.

That was not the case with the arm layer. As you can note the shadow still appear above the arm. I.e the stroke displays all points regardless of the Clamp.

Of course, I might miss some knowledge to tweek it properly. I looked for info online, I didn't find any information about it, so I report it as a bug.

Thanks for your hard effort and for the consideration.

Cheers,

DB

Please only report one issue per report.

reg. 1) "Key frames don't show in the Dope sheet but only in the Graph Editor":
Your Dopesheet is in Grease Pencil mode [this only displays timings for all grease pencil sketches], to see the armature animation, change it to Dope Sheet

For the other issues it is really better to open separate reports (and it would be good to have a simple example blendfile that shows the issue [e.g. I cannot reproduce the shifting mentioned in 2.) when doing this from scratch here])

For the first issue I would like to ask @antoniov if the grease pencil context in dopesheet should also include armatures? [I guess current way is by design, just hesitating to close this...]

Thanks Philipp,

I attache herein the Blend file.

I noted you request of seperating the observations for future issues. However, as I don't want to create an additional confusion, I attached the Blend file only to this particular task. If needed kindly adivse, I'll attach it to the other tasks as well.

  • Key frames don't show in the Dope sheet but only in the Graph Editor:

This is by design. So that's not a bug. Set the Dopesheet to Action Editor or Dopesheet.

  • Key frames changes appear where no key frames where created, without a way to modify the changes.

You can't change or see the GP keyframes unless you set the Dopesheet to Grease Pencil. So that's not a bug.

  • In short, the dope sheet didn't display my keyframes for the bones, only for the strokes, layers.

This depends on how you set the Dopesheet - for GP or actions, or whatever. Doesn't appear to be a bug.

  • After Rendering, I noted that the object shift gradually towards the right. I then deleted the Keyframes in the position... but this didn't change the outcome.

In your file, you have parented your GP object to an Armature which is keyframed to move. So that's not a bug.

  • A different issue was the shadow. In the animation the layer are divided to Body and Arm, only the later is animated.

I don't get this. In your file, you only added bones to the arm, and only they are animated. What would you expect to see?

I'm marking this as Invalid.

If you ever do find a bug that can be reproduced, add a report for this one issue only, and add a blend which demonstrates the issue.

Thanks.
