Short description of error

Some artifacts around the out circle in the blend file, this is not present in Blender 2.79

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible).

load attached file, doesn't matter if it is Cycles or Blender the artifact is present.

I Downloaded your file, Next time please use File > Export > Automatically pack files into .blend to export all your textures, HDRI's :)

Textures missing from your files....

I rendered your scene but I got clean Image. I think the problem is from your side...

Click on Image to see @ full resolution

If you are using Windows 10 please check if you have 32-bit capable screen.

8-bit screens can cause banding issue...

Check it Start menu > settings (gear icon) > system > Display > Advance display settings

If your screen settings shows 8-bit as in the following Image then the problem is your screen

Sorry I am new to Blender, didn't know about that option. And I don't see the option to automatically pack files.

I just looked at your image and the artifact is there.

If you look near the ring or hole and the outer ring you will see triangles, those triangles don't appear on when in Blender 2.79.

Have attached the rendering from Blender 2.79 and circled the artifacts in your render in the following two images.

It's not a bug! you have to use smooth feature. (This is same as we set phong in Cinema 4D)

BTW, Sorry for wrong step for texture export, This is how you can do this >

File > External Data > "Automatically pack files into .blend" (This is when you want to export or share files with others you should tick this.)

So are you saying that even though I am using Cycles in 2.79 and 2.80, I now have to retouch all my work to work in Blender 2.80?

To me it looks like the subdivision modifier still has problems with ngons.
(unsure why we would have to enable autosmooth...)

Yes, Blender 2.8 is still not a stable version. So please better you use it for testing purpose only. I told him a temporary way "Auto Smooth". but Developer will solve the problem if they find anything... Thank You.
