System Information
Operating system: Windows 10
Graphics card: GTX1080Ti

Blender Version
Broken: 2.80
Worked: 2.79
Short description of error
Antialiasing in Workbench in Xray mode in Blender 2.8 is significantly worse compared to Blender 2.79. In some cases it's so bad it significantly impacts modeling efficiency in a negative way. Check the attached screenshot:
WorkbenchAA.JPG

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
1, Create a mesh and go into edit mode
2, Enable select through (next to overlays)
3, Observe extremely jagged lines

Result: Lines are extremely jagged regardless of multisample setting in preferences
Expected: Lines should be smooth

Mine get antialiased...

Please try to go in File and select Load Factory Settings, then try again to see if this solved the problem

1, You are using completely different setup, including operating system. With such a difference, you can't immediately jump to conclusion. Obviously, I tried factory defaults.

2, No, yours doesn't get antialiased. You are just using such a big resolution that you notice it less:

3, It requires a bit more complex scenario than just a simple cube to correctly see the result. Simple cube looks quite OK even on my monitor with half the resolution of yours:

@fclem I'm guessing this is already a known issue?

In some cases, it's truly extremely bad. Here's comparison between 2.79 (top) and 2.8 (bottom):
