Delete Branch "%!s(<nil>)"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?

Short description of error
unwrapping default cube for texture-painting.
Opposite sides of cube end up adjacent in uvMap.
(ie; I have no control over where seams end up)
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Start with default scene with the original cube.
Cube:
tab [Edit Mode]
[Edge Mode]
A select All
menu: UV » clear_seam
alt-A select None
LMB select edges so that the -Y face (numpad-1) will be center of cross.
[Face Mode]
A select All
menu UV » unwrap (now staring at 6 faces in UV_Editor, unfolded like a cross)
Image_Editor:
create image and pack_as_PNG into file.
paint something on image.
Node_Editor:
setup nodes so that texture_coordinates and image_texture will map 2d painting onto 3d Cube (see .blend file)
3D_Viewport:
[Texture_Paint Mode] for immediate feedback while painting.

Please cancel bug-report with my apologies.
I did all steps from scratch twice before reporting bug.
Then I tried it by deleting the original cube and adding a new one. UV-unwrapping worked correctly.
Then I repeated it with the original cube, and UV-unwrapping worked correctly this time.
(starting blender 2.80 from scratch each time)
The apparent problem must be at my end. Sorry.
