16bit normal maps displayed wrong in eevee #61439

System Information
Operating system: Windows 10 64bit
Graphics card: Geforce GTX 980 or Geforce GTX 970 (tested on both)

Blender Version
Broken: 2.80, 69b2f52681, blender2.8, 2019-02-10

in eevee, 16bit normal Maps (png or tiff Format) are not displayed correctly and Output wrong normals. 8bit normal Maps and cycles is correct.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

this exists at least since july 2018. i thought it was a format problem back then, but as it reappeared now i tracked it down to the bit depth.

You need to set the Color Space of the 16bit file inside the Image Editor. This is a duplicate of #58621.
