3D View - precise scaling are shifting scaling origin #62694

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • start to scale cube on default scene
  • Move cursor around, see when cursor is moved to object origin its scale is close/equal to zero (as expected)
  • in any moment use "precise mode" by holding left Shift button and move cursor to another place
  • go back to "normal mode" by releasing left Shift button and reach object origin with your mouse again
  • object will no longer scale to close/equal to zero at this coordinate (as should be expected from user point of view)
  • in fact "scaling origin" was shifted during "precise scaling" mode

This is working as intended, it's a characteristic of making shift move small distances, then allowing you to release shift and continue to move larger distances without resetting the value.
