Short description of error
Toon shader has odd rendering in viewport, and the UI for certain dropdowns in the Material panel can't be clicked on in some cases.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. File > New > General
  2. Change Material Surface shader to Toon BSDF
  3. Change Toon BSDF color to anything
  4. Switch to LookDev or Rendered mode
  5. Rotate view and see oddities on cube (clipping, object is stationary but view angle is different). I've seen random green colors, color banding etc.

I get similar visual glitches when using the Toon BSDF in Eevee:

on macOS 10.14.

@Clément Foucault (fclem): I'm fairly sure this is not supported in Eevee, but I suppose it should fail more gracefully? We should also hide it from the Surface shader menu so users don't try and use it if isn't going to work with Eevee.

It also occurs using Cycles (+Supported +CPU/GPU).

@Nick (nickmade) That I cannot reproduce, unless you mean LookDev, which is currently (oddly) hard coded to use Eevee, even if you set the renderer to Cycles.
