Graph editor, selection disappears when Control + Z #64114

Short description of error
When you're animating/polishing with the graph editor, and u press control Z, the selection disappears and to check again the graph editor, you have to change from window and select the bone again

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Select a bone and create some keys
  • Go to graph editor and press control Z
  • Blender graph editor deselect the bone
    [Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible)]

I can not reproduce the issue with the steps provided with todays build.

Undoing in the graph editor does not deselect to bone for me after adding keyframes.

I tried the same steps, today, 07/05/2019 at 17:00 gtm +1, the error still happens (With today's latest blender version)

Exactly what I do:

  • enter pose mode
  • Select any bone and create some keys
  • go to graph editor and play with the curves, once, twice or as many times
  • control Z and the error happens, its like you never selected a bone thought its still selected

I can't reproduce this with the default meta rig from the riggify addon (or a single bone).

Can you reproduce this on a simpler rig as well or is it only the spring rig this happens on?

Uhm, thats strange, i just opened a new scene, create a basic human meta rig, and still happens. I'm gonna try something I think it has to do with my Keymap (i'll edit this post)

Update: I reloaded blender's default keymaps, and it still happens. And yes, indeed, the object is still selected on the 3D view and on the camera too, it just happens on the graph editor :)

I cannot reproduce the problem.
In this case we need a simple (or simplified) file to be able to reproduce the problem.

Note that it may be related to studio/blender-studio#58718
