Blender Suddenly Slow, Laggy, and Sometimes Completely Unresponsive #64269

System Information
Operating system: Windows 10
Graphics card: Intel(R) Iris(R) Graphics 540

Blender Version
Broken: 2.79
Worked: 2.79

I have been working on a project. It is simple, only having two pretty basic objects in it. Blender has been working pretty smoothly for me but now, no matter what view mode I am on, Blender is very laggy. I'll try to simply move an object and nothing will happen then suddenly it will 4-5 seconds later for example. Sometime the whole app will become unresponsive for a few minutes. Its just weird because it was working fine, even when I was working on the very same project. The lags presist for other projects as well.

Check out my saved system info attachment.

Can you see if newer drivers from here helps? https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/80939/Graphics-Drivers

Yes I used the link you provided to check that all my drivers were up to date.

Also it may be note worthy that when I restart/reset/turn on my computer I get an error saying that "ThunderBoltServices file was not found. Please reinstall it.". Well I have tried to reinstall it but it won't download. I'm not sure if this could be related to my blender issues that continue to persist.

Is this still an issue?

Closing for now due to no response in a long time.

Also note that 2.7 bugs aren't being fixed anymore, since the 2.80 release is on the doorstep. If you still have this issue, I recommend trying out your file in the latest 2.80 daily build. If the problem persists, feel free to re-open this, and attaching a blend file would be helpful too.
