Viewport render doesn't apply AA from Workbench

When using "Viewport render Image" and "Viewport render Animation", AA from workbench is not applied.

Could you explain in more depth?

There has been a change last week and it should work the following:

  • interactive viewport AA is controlled by the user preferences
  • viewport render image/animation is controlled by the sampling panel in the workbench engine
  • render image/animation is controlled by the sampling panel in the workbench engine.

If this is not working, please let us know what is not working. In your post "AA from workbench" is not clear as there are 3 AA settings :-)

Sorry I was not really clear, all your three point's work as they should.

I wanted to render with eevee over View-> Viewport render Animation.
I was just confused because the workbench sampling was also used for eevee Viewport render before.

When workbench is selected everything works fine, but looks like there is no AA setting which has an impact on eevee viewport rendering
(which is much faster than ctrl+ f12 rendering but looks a little bit different)

-What is the difference between workbench AA and eevee samples?

Would be nice to just have the Eevee samples setting for viewport(render) and normal rendering

Eevee only uses TAA so no option to do single pass or no anti aliasing at all. The samples for eevee is also more then only AA.

Does this mean, I should do another bugreport for Eevee because TAA is not working while using Viewport render?
