System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.17763 64 Bits
Graphics card: GeForce RTX 2080/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 430.64

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.80 (sub 68), branch: master, commit date: 2019-05-17 13:48, hash: fa9ab7b5a9
Worked: (optional)

Short description of error
[Cycles crashes on Current Nvidea Drivers needs to be updated. Always crashes with Cuda errers 1/4 of the way thru render a frame. illegal instruction in cuCtxSynchronize(), line 1722 and other errors occur. Added this to RegEdit to help prevent it "TdrDelay"=dword:00000040 but other Cuda errors appeared after that as well. 4k or Higher renders always crash before they finish]

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
[Install latest Nvidia driver with an RTX card and hit Render]
[Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible)]

We need a .blend file and exact steps to reproduce the problem.

We need a .blend file and exact steps to reproduce the problem.

It happens on every file. Blender throws cuda errors on High Rez renders (4k or higher). Also Evee is greatly affected. The creator of E-Cylcles says he is using Nvidia drivers from last March to keep it working. That is not possible for me because I have other programs that require using the current Nvidia drivers. To test you are going to have to load up the current drivers on an RTX card.

Here are my System Specs:
MAIN MONITOR:
2560 X 1080
GAOMON MONITOR:
1920 X 1080
AMD RYZEN THREADRIPPER 2950X 16 CORE 3.50 GHZ CPU
Nvidia Creator Ready Driver (CURRENT)
Ram 32 Gigs
Windows 10 Pro
Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080

Please attach one example .blend file that has the problem, even if it's trivial. You say it happens on every file, but then also say it's specifically an issue with 4K renders so it's not clear and we need to maximize the chance of being able to reproduce this.

Here you go. Updating to the Newest Nvidia SDK should fix this.

You can close this bug. As it turns out the video ram on my RTX card was failing. The card burnt out and was replaced. Now there are no errors.
