Delete Branch "%!s(<nil>)"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?

Note also that these are settings for box select. These are not related to boolean operations on meshes.

This is not a bug. You are using the Box Select tool and changing the selection options, which is why it says Box Select, and the tooltips say Set a new selection, Extend existing selection, etc.

Boolean isn't 'working' because you didn't use a boolean tool or execute a boolean operator.
