System Information
Operating system: Windows 10 Home 1803
Graphics card: GTX 980M

Blender Version
Broken on: 2.80 (sub 71), commit date: 2019-05-22, hash: 0f98c05c8b

Short description of error
The initial/default value for clip_start when a Light Probe is created is 0.01 for Irradiance Volumes and 0.001 for Reflection Planes, however when it is reset to default value it becomes 0.8, which is the default only for Cubemaps.
Generally, 0.8 is highly unlikely to be a desirable value and will cause most Irradiance Volumes and Reflection Planes to look incorrect (including those of the default size/resolution).

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on default startup

  1. In 3D View, Click Add > Light Probe > Irradiance Volume or Reflection Plane
  2. In Object Data tab, under Probe, right click on value for Clipping Start and click Reset to Default Value
  3. Note how the initial default value (0.01 or 0.001) differs from the "default" value (0.8).

NOTE: This is not necessarily a duplicate of #47618 (Re-evaluate "Reset to Default Value") because the RNA default value is correctly assigned, it just incorrectly treats all light probes as cubemaps.

While it would be good to make this work better, I don't think we consider it a bug. There is only one default value defined per property, improving that is outside the scope of the bug tracker.
