Short description of error
An object that is part of the active 'rigid body world' collection is removed from the scene entirely when the user disables rigid body physics for that object. Expected behaviour: After disabling rigid body settings, the object would still be part of the scene, but would not be included in the rigid body simulation.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Open attached .blend
Select the cube.
In the physics tab, click the 'rigid body' button to remove rigid body settings from the object.
The object is removed from the scene entirely.

Since your object is only in the Camera collection, and you are using your Camera collection as RigidBodyWorld collection, that totally expected behavior. There is a reason why by default enabling rigidbody creates its own new collection (not used in ViewLayer)… Thanks for the report, but no bug here.
