System Information
Operating system: Windows 10
Graphics card: Nvidia GTX 970

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.80 (sub 74), branch: master, commit date: 2019-06-19 18:29, hash: d30f72dfd8, type: Release
build date: 19/06/2019, 18:01
Worked: (optional)

Short description of error
Using the MIX node and playing with a mix of texture and color, changin the Fac. value with mouse, ( form 0 to 1 moving the bar ) Blender crash and closed. It happens in LookDev and Rendered Viewports shading.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible).

Select the curved wall with bricks material. In the Mix node change with the mouse the Fac. Value from 0 to 1. Sometimes it happens instantaneously and others have to be played a few seconds to make it happen.interior_packed.blend

mix_test.blend I downloaded your file to test this.

There is definitely some instability with your file but I don't think the issue is with the mix rgb shader. I could not replicate the issue in lookdev mode at all. But switching to rendered cycles generally caused blender to crash on my win64 laptop: whether or not I messed with the shader slider.

To isolate the shader from the rest of your file I created a default-cube based file with the same shader setup and textures for the default cube as you used on your wall.

I was able to adjust the shader slider without crashes in rendered mode as well as in lookdev mode.

I'm not a developer and I can't offer any insight as to what is going sideways with your file. But I'm fairly sure that the mix shader slider adjustment is not the root cause. I've uploaded my default cube based blend with your shader setup. Perhaps you can see whether adjusting the slider in that still triggers the issue on your rig or not.

Hi Craig!

Thank you for your help! I tested yout file in my computer and it works fine, in cycles and lookdev so i think it could be a possibly corrupt file. I´ll try again from scratch.

Thanks!
