Operating system:
Windows 10
Graphics card:
Nvidia gtx 970
Broken:
Blender 2.8
Short description of error
Fill tool crops the filling zone at the viewport limits. So, if you have to fill a larger zones you might have to zoom out the viewport, but this makes the leak size bigger and that doesn't fill well narrow zones.
An alternative solution could be adding a checkbox to make the leak zone relative to de zoom of the viewport in order to solve this problem.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
1-open a 2d animation layout
2- zoom in in the viewport a couple of times
3-select fill tool and grey default material
4-fill the viewport
5-zoom out

Changed status from 'Open' to: 'Archived'
This is not a bug, but a know limitation of the current fill tool.
We are working to make better the tool for next releases, but now I'm going to archive the task.
