EDIT:
ok... after 6 minutes the render windows finally respond with a rendered picture...
i switched the render engine to cycles and the image was rendered in 25s.

ok, i guess, my old CPU's GPU is very very poor for eevee. but it sould not freese the render window and main blender window in that way tht you think the program is hanging.

Your GPU not meet minimum Blender requirement to open it as specified:

https://www.blender.org/download/requirements/

you can try to update to lastest GPU drivers

This graphics card is below our minimum requirements, and so we can't provide official support for it.

There is a bug in the graphics driver for which we have a workaround that slows down some operations, upgrading to the latest graphics driver from the Intel website can help.

thank you, the driver update improved the situation with Eevee rendering already alot...
from 6 minutes with driver version 10.18.10.4358 down to 3.6 seconds with driver version 10.18.10.5069...
strange, that windows device manager all the time told, that i had already the newest driver installed... but the intel driver assistent told my driver was outdated.

anyhow... thank you very much.
