Blender 2.80 RC1-2-3 Crash While Rendering - flicker, white blank screen, blue screen of death #67710

System Information
Operating system: Windows 10 Home, built 1903
Graphics card: ASUS R9 290X DirectCU II OC

Blender Version
Broken: Blender 2.80 RC1, RC2 and RC3{F7629090}

Short description of error

After a few renderings, while rendering screen starts to flicker. Cannot shut down Blender normally, have to use task manager to end task. After that Blender does not restart without a windows restart. I had experienced this with all versions of the RC releases. I also managed to capture this in the console window, see attached. That was before the blue screen mentioned below.
As I was writing this the first time I tried to restart Blender and the blue screen of death came up the first time, with the message Stop Code: Video_Scheduler_Internal_Error.

Cycles or EEVEE ? Sounds rather like an unsupported graphics card.

Sorry, forgot to mention that is Cycles.
This graphics card was working with all the previous development versions of Blender. I have been using V2.80, in conjunction with V.2.79, ever since it became available and I downloaded a fresh version every week once, except the last month or so. I used the same computer during this time.

Had the same Problem last week at home.
I was viewport rendering with cycles. Had a volume shader and connected a noise texture to the volume shader density inputs.
Then suddenly flickering of one monitor the other monitor switched off completely. Then after a few seconds blue screen of death with the above message.
My system specs: Windows 10 Pro x64 1903
Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080 Ti
I then updated my graphiccard drivers but had a blue screen of death again in blender.
Today tested the same scene on my laptop. On my laptop blender crashed with an OpenGL driver error.

For test purposes I set a new value in the registry:
([HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers]
add a new dword called "TdrDelay" and set the hex value to 40 or more.
"TdrDelay"=dword:00000040)
This advice I found on the ecycles forum.

Now I have no crash anymore!

The flickering starts on my main screen where the main Blender window is and a few moments later it stars on the second monitor as well and from there it goes to rest of the blank screen, loosing screen output and so on.

Looks like this problem remains even in Blender V2.81 Alfa

I still have issues even though I updated the AMD driver twice. Today I did it the second time to the absolute latest one. When I use GPU render most of the time this happens. Blender Crash.JPG
After the screen flickering it ends up like this, white windows. When closing the program via the close windows or Task Manager, after restarting it goes into flickering straight away and the white screen. This is on both the 2.80 ad 2.81 as well.

@DrSpock does this still happen with latest build? https://builder.blender.org/download/
