Short description of error
Wether I want to replace a texture, open a new texture or even save a new texture or even try to open or save blend files, every time the file browser needs up to a minute to open. Blender freezes completly while the file browser loads. This wasn't the case in the earlier builds.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

Open Blender, you don't need to do anything.
Go to UV Editor, Image Editor or Shader Editor (Place an Image Texture Node then)
Try to open a new texture or simply try to open a blend file.
The file browser will take an unusually long time to open.

IMO your workstation have a slow usb drive or a drive with fault plugged in

work fine a expected on linux Blender 2.80-b63f0266a056 AMD FX8350, 16GB DDR3, GTX690 2+2 GB VRam- Nvidia drivers 430.34

Cannot reproduce. As @dark999 suggests, this is likely not an issue with Blender.

Seems like a disconnected network drive was causing the issue. I noticed that when i opened "This PC" and the explorer also froze for one minute.

After I removed the unavailable network drive, everything worked fine again.
