AntiFeatures Pre Selection Highlighting
Closed, ArchivedPublicDESIGN

Description

Why do not they want to add pre-highlight options for highlighting like in all paid editors?
Is this on the list of what cannot be added to the blender? In 2.8x this could be added to an optional parameter and it could be turned off like many settings now.

It is in Maya, 3ds max, Houdini, why can't a blender have such things?
Now, with 2.8, the interface design has changed significantly, a lot of gizmo has been added, this option would also be useful for beginners. Is this a difficult option, or will it have a big impact on performance?
There is an addon to create a line and the backlights work there and there is no performance problem.
I'd really like the developers to add this by default.
