Blender goes into "Not Responding" state #69183

Short description of error
While interacting with specifically ico spheres the application goes into not responding state .
Any action such as changing number of sub-divisions , adding particle system or trying to play animation where ico sphere is selected it takes a long time and application goes into not responding stage.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
No exact steps just clear the default scene and add a ico sphere go to bottom "Add ico sphere tab" and change the sub divisons to any number eg.10 .

Here all work fine on linux Blender 2.80 f6cb5f5449 (Stable) AMD FX8350, 16GB DDR3, GTX690 2+2 GB VRam- Nvidia drivers 435.17

to generate subdivision to 10 level on added icosphere is need a bit of time, in may case more than 20seconds.
Default icosphere had 42 verts and 120 edges, subdivided at 10, icosphere had 2 621 442 verts and 7 864 320 edges and blender need 7.09GB of ram , all made on single core

image.png However, you forgot to upload a simplest possible .blend file to reproduce this issue and fill relevant data as request in bug template

The operating system, main memory size, GPU brand and model, GPU driver version and Blender hash or its build date ( or upload file generated from `Help > Save System Info` )may be needed by developers to investigate this issue
Before you made a new bug report you must use Search box (upper right on Bug Report page) to check if bug/problem is already reported from others users. Duplicating bugreport is a waste of time and resources for developers
