Why aren't Lattice points on par with geometry points when it comes to Snapping????

I'm reporting this because this has been a long standing issue with Blender that has remained under the radar for such a long time and is a total hindrance for an effective workflow and I consider it a flaw. Lattice points need to be made to snap onto their own points. I have a lattice at hand that I need to symmetrize manually (cuz there's no other way) and forgot I can't snap them onto their counterparts because they're not considered geometrical components.

Raising awareness to @Germano Cavalcante (mano-wii) , but this sounds like a feature request, not a bug.
While this could be a useful feature (there are many useful features to add to blender), the bugtracker is not the right place for this.

This is a change that needs to be studied.
Can Lattice elements hinder more than help when snapping to the mesh?
