Problem with Diffuse map baking and with Metallic map #69826

Short description of error
When I try to bake the Diffuse Map with the Metallic Map connected in Principled Shader, the Diffuse Map bakes like a completely black image, but when I turn off the Metallic Map all is fine. The same thing happens when you set the Metallic value to 1, and the problem goes away if the Metallic value is set to 0. I noticed this problem when I tried to bake the Diffuse map of a large object, where the peak was just a part of it, but when I investigated the problem I was able to repeat it with only one this peak.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Just try to connect Metallic Map in Principled Shader and press Bake, then try to disconnect Metallic Map from Principled Shader and press Bake, then try to add the Metallic value to 1 and press Bake, and then try to add the Metallic value to 0 and press Bake.

What you're trying to achieve is baking the base color, which would be good to have but it's not supported currently.

Metallic reflection is not diffuse, it's specular and so not part of the diffuse color.

I trying to bake Base Color like Diffuse, and all my meshes and textures are baked ok. This one has color and has metallnes, and I trying to bake color, but not the metalness, when I bake the Diffuse. In addition to that I have a mesh with metallnes. color. roughness and normal map which baked ok. Please, try to look on the textures I packed in file, and try to repeat the problem by downloading my .blend file. And also please try to disconnect base color texture and metallic texture and try to add any color to the Base color, and try to bake with Metallic = 0 and Metallic = 1, and you'll see that in the case when Metallic is 1 the baked texture is black, and in case when the Metallic is 0 the baked texture becomes visible and well baked.

Diffuse color is not the same as base color, so you can't bake it as diffuse and expect to get the base color.

Hmm, so am I correctly understand that when I bake each texture separately, I have to disconnect all the others and turn them on one by one as I bake each texture? Otherwise, they'll influence each other?

Okay, thanks for clearing that up. It would be cool if you could bake Base Color separately in Blender, and it would be cool if you added the ability to bake Metallic map, because now many people bake Metallic map by connecting Metallic textures in Roughness, it's not difficult, but not so obvious.
