You didn't specify what Blender version you're using and what is your driver version. You also didn't provide any test files for developers to work with. Always strictly follow these instructions when reporting bugs:

- Always test with the latest official release from blender.org and daily build from builder.blender.org.
- Please use Help > Report a Bug in Blender to automatically fill system information and exact Blender version.
- Find steps to redo the bug consistently, and include a small and simple .blend file to demonstrate the bug.
- If there are multiple bugs, make multiple bug reports.
- Sometimes, driver or software upgrades cause problems. On Windows, try a clean install of the graphics drivers.

Thanks for the report, besides the extra info that is required, could you see if you computer memory is peaking? (Task Manager)

This could be it. At rendering start, 75% of memory is used, and at the end it reaches 94% and is thrown to the desktop. Memory usage doesn't increase with CPU rendering, it stays on 85%.

That is pretty much memory issues. While we want to improve Blender to handle such cases memory gracefully, this is not currently considered a bug.

We did have a fix recently that tackled some GPU usage. Although unlikely it may fix your issue. You can try one of our daily builds from builder.blender.org.
