Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Open above blendfile
  • Select the Armature from within the Outliner
  • See how the bone selection gets lost

I guess this is not intended behavior.

This relates to sync selection, with sync selection disabled this now works as expected, see: {78ad368d12d8ff2d8c226353f5097b24afb8851b}.

Based on the design this is working as intended if you click on the "Pose".

When you select the pose with sync selection this is selecting the pose and de-selecting other items (including bones).

With sync-select we don't have the ability to activate an item without adjusting selection.

However it should be possible to toggle selection holding Ctrl-Click, committed fix for this case.
