Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?

Short description of error
[I tried to change the shortcut for "X-Ray" view (by default: "Alt +X") to "X". Afterwards whenever I click in the viewport I get the following error message:
Aftwards, I tried to reset the short cut via the "Preferences/Keymap" menu, but the error stays. I also tried several other things, but only reinstalling the software could fix the problem.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Right click on the "X-Ray" icon.
Choose "Change Shortcut"
Type "X" as new shortcut

I follow your steps on several versions but don't get same error.
On 2.80 it actually doesn't bind anything if I right click and press X.
On 2.81 it binds to X with no problem and no errors.
Also on my master build it works.
I suggest trying 2.81 and/or nightly builds. Also consider File->Defaults->Load Factory Settings.

Your build is 4 months old. I believe this was fixed by
acd98599ff. Please check with latest daily build. Closing for now, but if the issue is still present you can re-open.With the new 2.81 everything is working fine now, Thanks for the quick replies.
