The mesh has spikes.

Does this problem happen when you start the simulation from frame 1?
I don't know if it's a bug, but in this file I can't make the simulation start if not from frame 2 or less.
Set the Cache Frame Start parameters to 0, Frame End to 200. I forgot to do this.

I confirm the result, but I can't tell if it's the result of a bug or something else.
@Pavel_Blend Just checked the parameters in the file and I think the
Particle Radius
in the mesh settings is too low. When increasing the mesh resolution, the radius needs to go up as well. Still have to bake the scene myself to confirm that that's the issue here though.This issue was referenced by
