Closed
opened 2020-01-17 12:59:18 +01:00 by CobraA · 11 comments

System Information
Windows 10 64 Bits.
Graphics card GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.82 & 2.83 hash: 4b6ce694c2
Worked: 2.80 and 2.81

Short description of error
{F8282990 size = full}

Whenever you click or click hold (mouse down ) on an object the gizmos flashes for a second.
This is happening for all gizmos not just the transform ones.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Default settings.
  • switch to Right Click Select.
  • enable gizmos in any mode.. doesn't matter.
  • Single Click or Click-hold on an Object, no tweaking involved.

[Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible)]
just the default scene.

Thanks for the steps, but you didn't actually mention what the issue is.

the gizmos flashes in/out with a single click but if you hold they're completely gone, in all previous versions this wasn't the case.

@ideasman42 this is the second time you close my repot for no reason even though I tried multiple times to explain the problem to the best of my ability.
This issue may not seem important to you but for those who actually use Blender for modeling and stuff ,me in this case have to deal with the quick flashes of the gizmos in the recent versions.
I need to use the 2.83 for the new features but at the same time I am forced to use the older ones like 2.81 because it doesn't have this annoying bug.
The least you can do is acknowledge the problem instead of flat out closing.

This seems to be a duplicate of #72736.

Reporting the same issue multiple times is not helpful.

If it's a duplicate then why are both closed?, shouldn't the least one of them remain open so it's obvious that the issue is confirmed, then i can be assured to not open a new one.

It's closed because it's working as intended, will reply in the other report.
