Macbook pro crash/freeze from small tasks on Blender #73386

System Information
Operating system: Darwin-19.2.0-x86_64-i386-64bit 64 Bits
Graphics card: Intel(R) Iris(TM) Graphics 6100 Intel Inc. 4.1 INTEL-14.3.9

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.81 (sub 16), branch: master, commit date: 2019-12-04 11:32, hash: f1aa4d18d4
Worked: (optional)

Short description of error
So my macbook keeps crashing when I'm doing just basic stuff with Blender.

It start's it with the fans blasting for rotating the object from close perspective in edit mode. I keep doing my thing, moving verts etc. and after couple of minutes the crash happens. Usually it takes few minutes until the whole computer freezes. I haven't tried any big projects with 2.8, but I have a feeling it would crash straight away.

When I used to use 2.79 crashes were really rare, it only happened if there was lots of stuff happening. And even then just couple of times. Fans used to blast during rendering or if the scene was really busy (hard work). But now these things happen just on the slight tasks.

Don't really know what to do. I tried changing from Eevee to Cycles but that didn't help.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Go to edit mode, zoom close, rotate view, move verts, save after every move ;) keep doing, freeze.

Could not reproduce this on a MacBook Pro here. No crashes after repeating your actions multiple times.

Can you add a screenshot of CPU tab of Activity Monitor while the fans go wild and crash happens? Open them in each half of the screen and make a screen recording using {key cmd shift 5}. Also how old is the MacBook ? It could be congested airflow.

I'm using macbook pro 2015. It's been about a year since I've opened it and done some cleaning inside.

I tried to reproduce the crash today but oddly it didn't happen. Fans are still wild but I don't mind as long as I can work without crashes.

I'll be recording my screen and I'll come back when the problems start again.

Not much we can do at this point, we'll need more exact information to reproduce the problem.
