Short description of error
Unable to add new libraries in Material Library add-on
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Attempting to start creating a new library in Blender material library add-on unsuccessful.
I tried multiple times including different blender files to create new libraries but received errors instead
If it said it was successful it would still not show the new library that I created{F8343968}

hi, I'll confirm this. I took a while to reproduce.
It seems there's an issue with file paths/permissions on win at least.
I found that running Blender as Administrator solved the issue.
A side note when using nightly builds and unzipping to a non admin folder such as your downloads folder, this issue does not happen.
We will look into this further.
Material Library VX Library Errorto Matlib VX fails writing files without Admin Permissions. (Windows)Added subscribers: @randomGuyOnTheInternet, @ulrichkehrein, @MichelePoletto
Hello,
I report my test.
A side note: I have installed Blender from the original installer downloaded from the official web page.
I have tried to run blender as Administrator.
After adding a new material in to the library, I click Reload Material to check if the new material was saved but it's reload the original material list.
I'm available for any other test.
Thankyou.
I have been using the official 2.82 build and it does appear to work for me as well when running as admin, but still gave me the same error message after it worked
I can confirm the same issue on Linux
