Graphics card: GeForce GTX 1080 Ti/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 442.19

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.83 (sub 4), branch: master, commit date: 2020-02-21 23:50, hash: rB0b626703f99f
Worked: (optional)

Short description of error
I attached a video with the bug. Basically when I preview the render using cycles, and hover my mouse over Blender's file browser, the preview magically becomes tinted in yellow. It happens only when I hover while it's still rendering, not when it's finished.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Go to shading workspace
  2. Set viewport shading to rendered (with Cycles)
  3. Hover mouse over file browser on the left while cycles is still sampling. Set samples to high, to get sufficient time.

  • does this happen with the default setup ? (add a blend file if any)
  • Also try after File menu > Default > load factory settings.
  • Sanity check: Graphics driver updates, if any.

Ankit Meel (ankitm) updated the task description. (Show Details)

Confirmed on this system.

Operating system: Darwin-18.7.0-x86_64-i386-64bit 64 Bits (Mojave, in case it isn't clear)
Graphics card: Intel(R) HD Graphics 6000 Intel Inc. 4.1 INTEL-12.10.12

One observation, take mouse pointer to the shader editor below, and it becomes normal .

Bastien Montagne (mont29) changed the subtype of this task from "Report" to "Bug".

@Clément Foucault (fclem) this is very likely a consequence of recent color management refactor I'd bet?

Jeroen Bakker (jbakker) triaged this task as High priority.

Issue is that the gpu_shader_image_color_frag is being used. And the file browser sets the color parameter of that shader to render the icons.
The draw manager should reset the color parameter to fix this issue.
