System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.18362-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: Intel(R) HD Graphics 620 Intel 4.5.0 - Build 26.20.100.7263

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.82 (sub 7), branch: master, commit date: 2020-03-12 05:06, hash: blender/blender@375c7dc4ca
Worked: (optional)

Addon Information
Name: Extra Objects (0, 1, 4)
Author: Multiple Authors

Short description of error
Instead of creating a helix/spiral with minimal number of vertices for NURBS or Bezier output, it simply creates straight line segments as if it was approximating by mesh.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Add Curve > Curve Profiles / Spirals > Helix (3D) / Archemedian (sic) and set Output Curve Type to Nurbs or Bezier.

In addition:

  • it should be spelled "Archimedian"
  • changing output curve type set all hidden objects to visible

I can't replicate that. Setting Auto handles on Bezier output and reducing number of steps produces a smooth curve. And nurbs are always smooth. Hidden objects are not made visible either in my tests.
Does this happen in the latest version of the add-on?
