Dots Stroke material already in my new blend file #75888

Short description of error
When you create a new blend file there is already a material named Dots Stroke with fake user enabled in that file.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Create a new blend file and look at materials in the data API of the outliner.

rectification : fake user is not enabled : there is just 2 users and is Grease Pencil is checked.

@Jean-YvesGrosbeau Not totally sure what you mean, but the Dots Strokes material is a default material used by several default brushes of grease pencil, so any blend file has this by default. If you are not going to use it, you can delete it. You can also delete the GPencil brushes if you want.

If this is by design, this shouldn't be an bug.
And since deletion is allowed, people can use it for their purposes. One size fit all cannot be there.
I suggest invalid.

This is perhaps an old thread. But if we run scripts for nodes. Why does this material cause issues. I see it has node_tree but it has no node attribute or property?
Its from grease pencil i believe. Ive run into this issue before and used an if not mat.name == "Dot Stroke": to skip over it

When i check the material. It has nodes activated, this seems like a mistake. I now hardly anything about greace pencil, so perhaps this is correct
