Object properties In-front doesn't work in viewport shading
All the other options works in Object properties/viewport display, except for In-front

I'm pretty sure this is a known limitation, because it never worked before.
Eevee/LookDev has some screen space features that would not work well with this option.
@Clément Foucault (fclem), what do you think?

It would be Extremely helpful if you could put a Shader on the the object you're trying to retopologyse like ambient occlusion map for complex geometry !!
I really can't understand why it should be a problem to fix.. as separate and last draw call for the object.
If Eevee can't handle it because of reflection or something else like that, maybe a easy fix that could work is to simply use a view-port shader on the object that is in front.
Come on please... this is way too important buck to just say we know about it.
