Instanced mesh only works half the time

Short description of error
hi henlo attached blender file has two objects, large object on left has duplicate that works as intended with live updates, object on right doesnt see live updates, only once coming out of edit mode do the changes propagate to instances. creating new instances of objects does not fix the issue.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
idk how it happened but this mesh is fucky, see attached .blend file.
create instances of large object on left, works fine.
create instances of small object on right, doesnt work properly.

From what I can tell, this is caused by the object having modifiers attached to it.

That is related to the modifiers indeed. It's probably not a bug, but a limitation. Showing multiple meshes in edit mode with different modifiers sounds complicated. It would be nice if the other meshes would update in real-time though.
