System Information: Windows 10 Familly ,Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8750, 8 GB (Ram),
Operating system: 64 bit , processor x64
Graphics card: NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1050 TI
Computer: ASUS (2020)

Blender Version: 2.83 (newest one)

Short description of error: In the beginning, when i was using blender for the first time, it worked fine and there was no freezing, but once i was working on a small model as a practice, a donut of a size of 10 cm ,in a dimension of 1920x1080.TWhen i started working on the icing step of the onut(following the guru blender tutorial, the program slowly began to freeze and i couldn't work on it,so i had to wait about a couple of minutes so it can work again, but once i do something,it freezes again.I use a gaming pc and most of my programs doesn't crash or lag,I verified the computer processer and graphic cards, then went to see blender minimal and recomended requirements and i've seen that my computer graphic cards are enough to handle the 3d program. So i was wondering if it was more of a program/file problem than a hardware one.I actually believe that the 3d model i made hold too much (the size of the file is too big) ,but that would suprise me because its not a big thing i made.I also think it because of the glossy reflection but i am not sure.I really want to finish my work but i can't because blender freeze, can you help me fix this problem?,If any information is needeed, you can contact me via email : oualinesse@gmail.com.Thank you for taking your time reading this message, have a nice day!!

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error: Opening a project, clicking on tools and any action makes blender freezes and it shows in the upper bar "not responding" Also my computer fans starts making noise,so i think the program use most of my pc performance.
Default startup or Blend file: I couldn't share the startup and blend file because it doesn't want to upload in the website,i can share it in another way if possible

Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc simultenusly to open the Task Manager in Windows go to the second tab and click on Memory.
Now work on your Blender file if you see the memory getting filled all the way, your system then starts to write on the hard drive, and causing the lag.
If this is the case then you need to upgrade your PC memory.

Please share your file here, so we can have a look what might be causing this.

I couldn't share the blend file because it doesn't want to upload in the website,i can share it in another way if possible

How did you try to upload? What size is the file? (you can just drag and drop to a comment field or use the cloud icon)

Also please in Blender click on Help > Report a Bug and edit report or add in comment the system information section - it will contain info about driver version

You could also check daily 2.90 build https://builder.blender.org/download/

Hi,i attempted sending all the files of the 2.83 version with the donut model i was working on, i would know the problem come from the file, the hardware or the program,i will try the 2,90 version to see if it will fix the problem,i will notice you in a while to tell you if it worked,i will also verify the memory. Here are two screenshots of 2.83(first image) and 2.90(second image) beta update using the task manager as asked. As you see the program use most of the pc performance and can't load google or any program correctly while using blender ,i noticed that the 2.90 was working slightly better than the previous version and it lagged less(but that didn't fix my problem.) I captured the images because i could't do it because the pc was slow. Also i would actually know if the problem can come from other big softwares using gpu and cpu, like unity, sony vegas pro 17 or photoshop and consuming RAM.

Here are further information,i went to test if my pc can handle the program, and it mentionned that it can, also i precise that i am a beginner at using blender so i am not quite used to the program, i don't know if i messed something so it can crash but i believe that its not the problem.

Yeah man, your file is too big.
And your PC can't handle it. As you can see in your screenshot your RAM (purple) hits 100% then your system tries to write the overflowing data to your Hard Drive (green), that is a lot more slower. That's why Blender slows way down, it doesn't freeze.
Also, try to upload only the .blend file. I don't know that the rest of the stuff is. I didn't download your file because it's almost 500MB! What in the name of Jesus do you have in there lol. It should only be a few Megabytes.

I would suggest to you to just delete your file and start again. And don't cram too many textures in your file.

Just so you know Blender can run on almost any PC. But you can easily exceed your PC's hardware with what you make in Blender. For example, If you make a simple mug it'll be ok. But if you make a city or a mantaflow simulation it will easily bring your system down. I have 32GB of RAM and I regularly hit that limit. So either upgrade your RAM or keep your files simple.

Thanks for the report. While we do continue to work on improving performance in general, potential performance improvements are not handled as bug reports.

Just opening this file takes 5GB of ram, with OS and other software running this will easily eat up all your RAM. As @Arken said, you need to optimize your file or upgrade your system.
