Philipp Oeser (lichtwerk) changed the subtype of this task from "Report" to "Bug".

Think this is caused by the change to VDB caches, will check tomorrow.

Related problem to T77977 ?
I got it the other way around, on 2.83.

Just pushed some smaller fixes (2036b9771e5b) that should make the cache bakeable again.
The only caveat is that in order to bake the "Noise", the cache has to be "Resumable" (checkbox in Cache panel).

This is a usability issue which was introduced with the new "Is Resumable" option in 2.9. Will try to come up with a nice solution for this.
