Worked: That was working until today
Short description of error
I was running a dynamic simulation for a piece of candy falling into a liquid, once I finished and tried to open a new file, the blender didn't start again.
I have tested multiple things, like downloading newer graphic card drivers. Tried the repair option on the installer, tried deleting cache and TEMP files in my computer
tried reinstalling, tried downloading the new 2.83.1. LTS and nothing of that has worked
please help!!!! I have started a blender course and I am not able to continue

@westter Could you provide a .blend file where that happens? And also (maybe obvious, but sometimes it's not) did you restart your computer?
I tried everithing, uninstaled, reinstaled, restarted multiple times, updated 1080 drivers

Does blender 2.82 works? if you want to test it you can download in https://download.blender.org/release/ .
Also you could you provide the output log file? you can get by running the "blender_debug_log.cmd" in the blender file
@westter okay, can you provide a .blend file for us to investigate the issue? We don't make decisions based on art. We are only interested in the mechanics behind it, so that we can identify and erase the error.

No issue opening the ChocolateLeche.blend in either 2.83.0, 2.83.1 or master.
@westter if you just open the files does it crash for you?
I tried to instal 2.8.3 without succes.
and tried tu run a debug and this is the result

and this when I try to open blender by command prompt
@westter For the time being: Does the portable version work for you? There is no installation needed. Just extract the zip archive and start Blender from within the extracted folder: https://www.blender.org/download/Blender2.83/blender-2.83.1-windows64.zip/
Yeah it worked, the portable version, I will be testing it, thanks a lot!

This seems like a broken installation (blender cannot find it's own files).
Closing, can re-open if there are reproducible steps for Blender's installer to cause this problem.
