Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)

Short description of error
Crash when selecting Look Dev view or Evee in Viewport Shading mode

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
When I open Blender to the default scene it works in shaded viewport mode. I can move around the scene and manipulate objects so WIREFRAME or SHADED work fine. Selecting either LOOK DEV or Evee, crashes the program.

Not directly relevant, but Blender 2.90 will require macOS 10.13 or later (ff444da7c4).

Does it help to have the Apple crash report? How are these issues typically resolved? BTW, thanks for the quick response. Hope this gets resolvoed soon, I'm very much looking forward to learning the software.

Yes please upload the crash log (if not already in a file, then save it in a .txt file first)
