There was T73560 and T57570.
And relating commmits rBd712f1f83af8: GPU: Add Polyline shader (wide line emulation), rB42d77fbea165: UI: Make timeline vertical bars thickness work on OSX

I cannot really test this [not on a MAC], but the paint cursor is still drawn without this polyline shader afaict, see paint_draw_cursor()

@Clément Foucault (fclem): does this need to be converted to GPU_SHADER_3D_POLYLINE_UNIFORM_COLOR / immUniform1f("lineWidth", line_width * U.pixelsize) as well?

I don’t know about script code.

You said not supported on OSX that LIE! Please fix. Blender can do everything.

You misunderstood. The title of the commit says it fixes the fact that wide line is not working for paint cursor on OSX. You just have to wait the next build to include the fix.

I do remember about 2.80 and 2.90 and I totally believe they can do fix on Mac without "CAN'T" and without "NOT SUPPORT"

Long time ago I told them about Blender 2.80 within TimeFrame too thin line need to fix. They said can't fix not support for OSX and they still can't do that, can't can't until finally they fixed Blender 2.90 everything FIXED on timeline and other.
