This error occurs using an addon called The Groove.
the same error doesn't occur in an empty file. As soon as the file gets bigger (lots os models, textures, and so on) the error starts to show up.

If I toggle the visibility in renders off and back on, the leafs disappear...

I saw this behavior too.
The files that are missing are linked files that doesn't make difference for the issue. They are just assets from my libraries.
the main files of this tree are the tree and the collection called "Grove".
As I click on visibility buttons I saw the leafs appears and disappears in the viewport.
I also could not find the cache option on the particle system tab.

The files that are missing are linked files that doesn't make difference for the issue. They are just assets from my libraries. the main files of this tree are the tree and the collection called "Grove". As I click on visibility buttons I saw the leafs appears and disappears in the viewport. I also could not find the cache option on the particle system tab.
