Short description of error
Whenever I render something in cycles it sometimes freezes and the image of the render is overlayed on top of a transparent 3d viewport background. I spoke with Robert Gutzkow on stack exchange and he told me to make a bug report. https://blender.stackexchange.com/questions/192361/cycles-render-is-rendering-everything-transparent?noredirect=1#comment322353_192361
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
The main issue i was having is there are no exact steps. It can crash on any scene and any size document. whether that is a single default cube or a fully textured village. it crashes however most frequently when the camera is rotated to fast and it is more prone to crashing in scenes with larger texture libraries. but thats about all i am able to find out. Im not that good with software as you can probably tell, but on top of it behaving like this in the viewport whenever I go to make a final render it will just stop and finish after only a few squares have rendered and will not render the rest. The final thing is in the cycles render viewport when it decides to freeze it just says "cancel" in the top left corner.

If you use blender 2.91, and run blender_debug_log.cmd, after the crash, you'll find system info.txt, crash.txt, and debug_log.txt. Please upload these three files.
I have tried to recreate the crash on 1.91.0 alpha using the debug_cmd and i have not been successful on it crashing again however it still doesn't render correctly and it freezes. i have sent screenshots of the error messages that have occurred whilst rendering i will keep trying to make it crash like it did yesterday and then i will send over the txt documents like u want. however this is all i can do for now
ok so i know you must hate people like me who are potatoes on pc's but i done some research and i changed the delay on the graphics cards as it looks like the default set by windows 10 was really low for some reason anyway i dont think it was anything to do with blender in the end i really do apologize for wasting time because it now renders and i cant seem to crash it and yeah cycles runs smooth. i set the delay to 60 seconds and now its able to work like it used to. i dont know why it changed or why this issue occurred but i think its fixed. thanks again you can close this bug report or end it or whatever you call it. sorry
Ah shit nope it still breaks
well yeah i will keep trying to figure stuff out lol
so yeah that delay thing does help and now it is able to render and last much longer than before but i guess it still hits a limit
it never used to do this so i have no idea
blender_system_info.txt
blender_debug_output.txt
these are the debug.txt documents i can get a hold of however this was in 2.83.5
blender_system_info.txt
blender_debug_output.txt
I only get 2 files when using that command debug log mode? and these are the 2 from the newest 2.9 version that im aware of
Okay, I shouldn't have asked for crash.txt since it's a freeze, not a crash. Thank you for the logs!
Is this an issue with larger tile sizes like in #80454 (Open CL Error on AMD Radeon RX 5600XP - with latest drivers - OpenCL error: CL_INVALID_VALUE ) ?
um i dont know what that means im affraid
I do use 256 x 256 but i use NVIDIA
I will try smaller tiles to see if that helps but it also freezes in viewport not just in the final render
i just tried to render using tile size of 32 x32 and it still freezes

I looked at debug logs you provided, but it looks like Blender has quit without crash.
Does this happen if you click on File >Defaults > Load Factory Settings them load file and try to cause crash?
im not sure what u mean by this?
it used to crash but now it just freezes as previously mentioned
it still freezes if i reset back to factory defaults on all versions that im using if that is what u meant. i just tested it out?
@Alex_01 Yes that is what I meant
hey look i know you guys must be super busy with fixing bugs but is there anything i can do to try and help u guys fix this because its been over a week and nothing has really been done about this issue. i respect that you guys are busy but if i can help i will try my best because its starting to effect my work as im unable to render any images and im a freelance artist.
I don't have hardware to confirm this issue, so there is not much I can do there.
After quick google search I have found forum post suggesting to use older studio drivers https://blenderartists.org/t/optix-cycles-viewport-preview-render-crashes/1210957/4 perhaps that could help you.
Thank you i have also been researching about this and came to a similar answer however before i found that solution i was told for some reason to unplug my pc power cord and turn my pc back on and see if that resets something to do with the bios in my system or my graphics cards? (im not a tech guy) but i tried that before going to older drivers and it has so far worked but i will for sure use the older studio drivers if this fails in the future however touch wood this works, but i dont know why some person just suggested it to me. Thanks for helping have a good day at this point i think you can end this conversation for sure because im pretty sure its not a bug issue even though blender was the only thing not working with the graphics cards but it is definitely the graphics cards.
This will not change BIOS settings unless you have dead CMOS battery... You can try to load default BIOS settings if you want. I don't think this would help though. Reffer to motherboard manual for that.
I can't really tell if this is Blender bug or not without being able to reproduce the problem. If you found workaround we could close this if you want. I am quite sure that if this was bug in Blender we will see more of these reports.
