System Information
Operating system: Windows 10
Graphics card: using the CPU

Blender Version
Broken: 2.91
Worked: 2.91

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file
Will reopen a project and its not zooming correctly, or it will stop zooming correctly at random and never fix itself.
I can run Blender separately, copy-paste everything and then I am able to zoom in on mouse or on box.

George changed title from ”Zoom to mouse position” will randomly stop working. I haven+ to ”Zoom to mouse position” will randomly stop working. That is all I know. It doesnt seem to follow a pattern. 2020-12-29 20:54:15 +01:00

  • Are you in perspective or orthographic mode?
  • Are you zooming in or out?
  • When you state that it is not zooming correctly, do you mean it stops you from zooming closer, but you are still able to zoom out?
  • Can you provide a minimal example project and instructions how you try to zoom, that doesn't work in this specific project?

  1. Both perspective and ortographic mode
  2. Zooming both in and out
  3. Will zoom in and out but it will zoom only on the tip of the camera (it being shaped as a pyramid). Exactly as if ”zoom to mouse” would not be active.
  4. Here is a sample, the classic donut for you to check out:donut1.blend

You've accidentally enabled the view lock. In order to disable it, open the sidebar {key N}, switch to the View tab and remove the camera from the View Lock > Lock to Object property. Alternatively, you can also use View > Align View > View Lock Clear.
