Could you give more information on what exactly the bug is? What is happening when you use the snap tool? What would you expect to happen?

I'm trying to stick the vertex to the face of the object below but even tough I'm turning on the snap tool it is still going inside the object. I am learning blender through the tutorials provided by Andrew Price on Youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmSgsaNSQ6s&list=PLjEaoINr3zgH1JI7FtPX_Q9OGFhP-HCUV&index=6 this video has the exact step I'm trying to copy

From what I can tell, you are trying to snap a vertex on the surface in edit mode? Is that correct?

The thickness modifier is set to a negative offset meaning it will offset inwards. My guess is that is what's causing the intersection to happen. Set it to 0.01 and try again. Additionally, you could decrease the proportional editing radius with the mouse wheel to make sure you are not pushing other vertices into the mesh.

This is all expected behavior. Not a bug with the snapping tools.

@AdityaPradhan007 That issue is caused by a bug in the AMD graphics driver, see #82856.
